Officers from the Youth Violence Strike Force and District C-11 arrested Jan Casanova, 23, and Freddiel Ramos, 21.

The arrests are the result of an investigation that started on June 10 after authorities were called to a scene of a gang of armed individuals reportedly following and abusing a victim behind a Topliff Street home.

Ramos is accused of unlawfully possessing ammunition without a FID card, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a firearm), and possession of a large capacity feeding apparatus.

Casanova faces charges of assault and battery with a firearm, a dangerous weapon.
