2 arrested in Walton trespass incident involving child endangerment

WALTON After a trespass report, two Walton residents were taken into custody on June 25 and charged with criminal mischief and endangerment of a child.

In the evening, Delaware County Sheriff Craig DuMond said that sheriff’s deputies had been called to a trespassing incident.

All parties involved were separated by deputies, who then interviewed each of them.

Authorities reported that several people’s personal property was damaged after a violent altercation that took place in front of a youngster.

Siara R. Mettler, 27, and Charles H. Boecke III, 34, were both accused of criminal mischief in the fourth degree and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to the New York State Penal Law, both offenses are class A misdemeanors.

After processing, Boecke and Mettler were released with appearance tickets so they might later return to Walton Village Court.
