PENN YAN — Two people were injured Sunday afternoon when they fell off an all-terrain vehicle on Hansen Harbor Road.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at 4:39 p.m. along with Penn Yan Ambulance and Dresden Fire Department.
A female juvenile was attempting to make a turn on the private gravel road when both she and passenger Richard K. Olson, 65, of Elmira, fell off the ATV, according to the sheriff’s office.
The juvenile suffered leg and hand injuries, while Olson sustained head and arm injuries.
Both were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The New York State Police also assisted at the scene.
