Hope Valley After conducting separate motor vehicle stops Tuesday evening, Rhode Island State Police made three arrests on drug possession and traffic-related crimes.
Kyle Morin, 32, of 168 Wheatland Avenue, Chicopee, Massachusetts, was taken into custody by troopers at 5:08 p.m. for possessing more than 10 grams but less than one ounce of crack cocaine, a Schedule I–V prohibited narcotic.
An automobile stop on Route 95 in Exeter led to the arrest.
After being taken to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing, Morin was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and discharged with a court date set for the future.
Eric Sangster, 34, of 78 Gervais Street, Coventry, Rhode Island, was taken into custody by troopers for careless driving at 8:44 p.m.
A traffic stop on Route 95 in East Greenwich led to the arrest.
After being taken to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks, Sangster underwent processing, a Justice of the Peace arraigned him, and he was discharged with a court date set for the future.
At 11:48 p.m., troopers detained John Huertas, 28, of 6173 Raleigh Street, Orlando, Florida, for refusing to submit to a chemical test and driving while under the influence of narcotics or alcohol with an unknown blood alcohol concentration.
An automobile stop on Exeter’s Route 165 led to the arrest.
After being taken to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks, Huertas underwent processing, a Justice of the Peace arraigned him, and he was then turned over to a responsible adult.
