NORWOOD — A Potsdam woman has been arrested for criminal contempt in the 2nd degree after violating an order of protection last month.

Nichole L. Harmer, 42, was charged after she went to the residence of a victim who had a stay-away order of protection against her, according to Norwood Village Police.

The order of protection was issued following a separate incident that occurred days earlier, during which Harmer was charged with assault and other offenses involving the same victim.

Police said additional violations have been reported and are being investigated.

Harmer appeared in Potsdam Town Court on Wednesday and was released on her own recognizance.
