WHITEHALL — A 46-year-old Putnam, New York man was arrested Monday on felony sexual abuse charges following an investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Mark A. Wolford was charged with sexual abuse in the first degree, a class D felony, according to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy.
The arrest was made after investigators determined that Wolford allegedly subjected another person to forcible sexual contact.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are likely, Murphy said.
Wolford was arraigned and released pending a future court appearance in Whitehall.
