ROME — A 41-year-old Utica man has been arrested in connection with a knife-point robbery at a Burger King restaurant earlier this month.
Paul B. Williamson was taken into custody Monday by the Rome Police Detective Division and Street Crimes Unit.
He was charged with robbery in the first degree, a class B felony.
The arrest stems from a June 9 incident at the Burger King located at 106 S. Madison Street.
Police responded to the restaurant at approximately 8:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a robbery.
A store employee told officers that an unknown suspect entered the business, brandished a knife, and demanded money from the cash register.
The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
Williamson was processed at Rome Police Headquarters and transported to the Oneida County Jail for arraignment.
