PENN YAN — Jade Smith was arrested by Penn Yan Police on a bench warrant issued out of Yates County Court for burglary 3rd and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle 3rd.
Smith turned herself in at the Yates County Sheriff’s Department where Penn Yan Police officers made contact with her.
The original charges stem from an incident in January where Smith is accused of entering the apartment of another and stealing their car keys and taking their car without permission.
Smith was taken into custody and transported to Penn Yan Police Department for processing.
Smith was then transported to the Yates County Jail to await arraignment in Yates County Criminal Court.
