Westbrook police arrest Portland man in multi-year home repair fraud case

WESTBROOK A defendant was indicted after the Westbrook Police Department submitted a major home repair fraud case to the Cumberland County Grand Jury after a protracted investigation that involved several victims.

After that, an arrest warrant was issued.

Timothy Galvez, 33, of Portland, was taken into custody by Westbrook police officers this week on a felony arrest warrant.

The home repair fraud scheme, according to investigators, has been going on for a number of years.

At least 14 victims have been identified by officers thus far, and their combined financial losses reach several hundred thousand dollars.
