Bristol police find rifle, fentanyl in narcotics arrest

BRISTOL On June 25, police searched a man’s residence and discovered fentanyl and an AR-style rifle. The man was then taken into custody.

A search warrant was carried out at the home by officers from the DEA Hartford Field Office, New Britain police, and the department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team and Crime Suppression Unit.

Inside the house, investigators found fentanyl, an AR-style gun, and items used to package drugs.

Jaylen Wright, 22, of Bristol, was taken into custody and charged with illegally possessing an assault weapon, criminally possessing a firearm, possessing a high-capacity magazine, possessing a firearm with a modified or missing serial number, and negligently storing a firearm.

Wright paid bond, according to the police, and is expected to appear in New Britain Court in July.
