UTICA A woman has been taken into custody by Utica police in relation to a vandalism incident that was reported at a downtown shop on May 9.
After someone peed and defecated on the establishment’s carpeting and floors, officers were called in.
Police were able to swiftly identify the perpetrator thanks to surveillance footage from the company.
According to business owners, cleaning expenses from the damage exceeded $1,700.
The Criminal Investigations Division of the Utica Police Department was given the case.
Latoya Jenkins, 36, who has no known residence, was found and taken into custody by police on June 24.
Criminal mischief in the second degree is the charge against Jenkins.
