3 stabbed at New London beach park

LONDON, NEW According to authorities, three individuals were stabbed during a disturbance that occurred at Ocean Beach Park on Sunday night.

At at 5:35 p.m., New London police were called to the park located at 98 Neptune Ave. in response to reports of a stabbing incident and an ongoing physical disturbance.

When officers arrived, they discovered three male victims who had been stabbed.

Initially, all three patients were taken to L+M Hospital for medical care.

According to police, two of the victims had injuries that did not seem to be life-threatening.

After suffering a severe injury, the third victim was taken to a different hospital.

While personnel of the Investigative Services Division gathered evidence, police surrounded the area and guarded the scene.

Police say the crime does not seem to be a random act.

The inquiry is still ongoing.
