Ravena man arrested on impaired driving charge in Wilton

WILTON After a welfare check on Saturday night in Saratoga County, a Ravena man was taken into custody on an allegation of driving while intoxicated.

At 11:42 p.m. on Saturday, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrived on Saratoga Road in the town of Wilton to conduct a welfare check.

Ravena resident Jacob M. Snide, 33, was discovered dozing off in his car on the side of the road while it was moving.

Snide is charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the combined influence of narcotics and alcohol, which is alleged to have compromised his ability to do so.

He was charged with an unclassified misdemeanor—driving while impaired by the combined effects of drugs or alcohol and drugs.

Snide was freed on an attendance ticket while Wilton Town Court hearings continued.
