BRANDINGPORT A car accident in a bar parking lot on Sunday night led to the arrest of a 65-year-old woman on felony driving while drunk charges.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, Sharon L. Meyer of Prattsburgh was arrested at 2051 Italy Hill Road at 6:24 p.m. after the incident at the Blue Eagle Tavern.
Meyer showed multiple indicators of intoxication when deputies contacted him after receiving a complaint of a car accident in the parking lot, according to the police.
According to authorities, Meyer was arrested after refusing to participate in standardized field sobriety tests.
She was released on appearance tickets after being taken to the Yates County Safety Building for a chemical test.
Meyer is accused of consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, felony aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol percentage of.18 or above, and felony DWI common law.
