Sodus man charged in stabbing incident

SODUS In relation to a stabbing that left a 26-year-old guy hospitalized, a 21-year-old male from Sodus has been taken into custody.

On June 27, New York State Police at SP Wolcott were called to a stabbing incident in the community of Sodus.

After being driven by private vehicle to the Sodus Fire Department, the victim was conveyed by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for more medical care.

Troops determined that Darin Barber Jr. was the stabbing suspect after conducting an investigation.

On June 30, Barber responded to SP Lyons and was safely taken into custody.

Barber was accused of first-degree assault, which is a B felony, and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, which is a D felony.

For his CAP arraignment, he was sent to the Wayne County Jail.
