Troy police seize 10 handguns, arrest 7 in Glen Avenue raid

TROY The Troy Police Department’s Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at 13 Glen Avenue on Wednesday night, seizing 10 pistols and making seven arrests.

The search warrant was executed in connection with an ongoing firearms investigation at approximately 10:30 p.m. on June 25.

Detectives from the Troy Police Special Operations Section had learned that the residents of the house were in possession of unlawful guns.

During the operation, the Emergency Services Team of the Albany Police Department provided support to the Emergency Response Team.

The ten firearms were found by detectives along with large amounts of marijuana and fentanyl.

After being discovered at the house, seven adults were safely brought into custody.

After being taken to the Troy Police Department’s station, each suspect underwent an interview, processing, and charging.

They were all remanded to Rensselaer County Jail after being arraigned in Troy City Court.

Each case will be prosecuted by the district attorney’s office in Rensselaer County.

The Troy Police Evidence Technicians are still working to determine the firearms’ origin as part of the follow-up investigation.

Task force members from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms provided assistance during the course of the investigation.

Among those taken into custody is Nikki Brate, 34, of Troy, who is accused of both criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

Schenectady resident Che Omar Bland, 44, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a controlled narcotic, and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

Troy resident Robert F. Bacon, 39, was accused of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

18-year-old Troy resident Connor Ingraham was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Troy resident Justice L. Walker, 19, was accused of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Troy resident Samir C. Rorie, 18, was accused of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Troy resident Alexus Hargrove, 26, was accused of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
