Shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, State Police arrived at the scene of a deadly collision on West River Road.
James Z. Morgan, 29, of Hudson Falls, was driving a 2017 Ford Fusion when it collided with the back of a 2000 Jeep Cherokee.
When the collision occurred, Morgan’s car veered off the road and struck a tree.
At the scene, he was declared dead.
Erik M. Teresko, 34, of Schuylerville, New York, was the driver of the Jeep; he and a passenger were unhurt.
Morgan was speeding at the time of the collision, according to the police.
The inquiry is still under progress.
