Ballston Spa man arrested on burglary charges in Milton

On June 17, Donald J. Koenig III, 54, of Ballston Spa, was taken into custody by the Saratoga State Police on two charges of third-degree burglary, one count of third-degree grand larceny, one count of third-degree criminal mischief, one count of fourth-degree criminal mischief, and two counts of possessing burglary tools.

Troops were called to a Milton company on May 24 at approximately 7:12 a.m. in response to a burglary report.

According to the investigation, Koenig allegedly broke into an office on the property, stole money from it, and destroyed it in the early morning.

Troops were called to the same establishment on June 9 at approximately 8:09 a.m. in response to an allegation of another break-in.

According to the inquiry, on the evening of June 7, Koenig allegedly went back to the same workplace and forced his way in once more, causing more damage.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office helped find Koenig and apprehend him.

After being taken to SP Saratoga for processing, he was remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility and arraigned in Milton Town Court.
