Boston During a sweep in Mattapan, Boston police found a 3-D printed handgun and drugs, leading to the arrest of two individuals early Thursday morning.

Julius Brooks, 18, of Mattapan, and Ernest Haley, 38, of Roslindale, were arrested on a number of drug and firearm-related offenses.

Due to a recent firearm arrest that occurred earlier in the evening on June 19, police assigned to District B-3 were patrolling the Almont Park area at approximately 12:53 a.m.

On Messinger Street, two people were observed with their right arms pinned to their bodies.

Officers watched as the two people ducked behind a parked car as they passed by.

As soon as officers heard a metal object hitting the ground, they got out of their cruiser to look into it.

When the two approached them, a cop promptly retrieved a gun from behind the car.

A second firearm was seen close to the car, and both suspects were handcuffed right away.

When officers searched Brooks for the purpose of making an arrest, they found two plastic bags containing crack cocaine.

It was requested that B-3 detectives arrive at the location and help process the evidence.

It was discovered that one of the weapons was a replica, and the other was an orange 3-D printed rifle that held five shots.

Dorchester District Court is scheduled to arraign both accused.

Haley is accused of possessing ammunition without a FID card, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, violating the firearm laws with three previous violent or drug-related offenses, and being an armed career criminal.

Brooks is accused of having Class B narcotics in his possession.
