BRIGHTON Beginning with a town-wide yard sale on June 27, the Town of Brighton has planned a full schedule of summertime community events for both locals and tourists.

The Town-Wide Yard Sale weekend, which includes Market Day with artisans, antiques, flea market vendors, and a farmer’s market for one-of-a-kind items, is the first event in the summer events series.

On Saturday, June 28, the yearly Kick-Off to Summer Car Show will take place.

The summer calender is highlighted by Brighton’s Independence Day celebration. At 6 p.m. on Friday, July 4, Beautiful Wreck will take the stage at Lakeside Park’s Catamount Arts Stage.

The yearly Island Pond Independence Day Parade, American Legion Chicken Barbeque, and Independence Day Scavenger Hunt take place on Saturday, July 5. At 6 p.m., Decadia—dubbed Island Pond’s favorite band—will take the stage at the Catamount Arts Stage.

The Fourth of July weekend comes to an end with the town’s fireworks display, which begins at 9:30 p.m.

The whole family is sure to have a great time at Island Pond’s activities! Michael Strait, the town manager, said. We are so excited to have you visit our town.
