CHAMPLAIN — State Police arrested Herbert R. Perez, 36, of Champlain, on June 10 for third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
State Police responded to Route 9 in the village of Champlain at approximately 10:45 p.m. June 10 for a domestic dispute.
An investigation determined Perez and the victim were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical when Perez bit the victim, leaving small lacerations.
A child who was present witnessed the altercation.
Champlain EMS arrived on scene and medically evaluated the victim, who declined to go to the hospital for further evaluation.
Perez was arrested and transported to State Police Champlain for processing.
He was arraigned in Town of Mooers Court and later released.
