CORTLANDVILLE On June 20, a fifty-year-old Cortland man was taken into custody on suspicion of damaging two transit buses at the Centro of Cortland bus terminal.
According to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, David W. Thompson of Church Street was charged with trespass, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and criminal trespass in the third degree.
On June 19, officers arrived at the bus facility to conduct an investigation into criminal mischief.
On June 17, Thompson is accused of entering the private property without authorization and causing damage to the two transit buses that were parked there.
At 11:40 a.m. on June 20, Thompson was apprehended and taken to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.
He received attendance tickets and was freed on his own recognizance.
Thompson’s arraignment is set for July 7 at 1:00 p.m. in Town of Cortlandville Court.
