RAMAPO — A 24-year-old Middletown woman died Sunday afternoon after losing control of her vehicle and striking a tree on Interstate 87, New York State Police said.
Anysah P. Nelson was driving a 2016 Honda Civic southbound on the New York State Thruway near exit 14A at approximately 3:25 p.m. June 15 when she lost control for unknown reasons, police said.
The vehicle left the roadway on the right shoulder and struck a tree, according to the preliminary investigation.
Nelson received immediate medical attention at the scene and was transported to Nyack Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The investigation remains ongoing.
