ROXBURY — Troopers, the Roxbury Constable, Roxbury Fire Department, Roxbury EMS and Margaretville Hospital EMS were dispatched to a one vehicle crash on Vega Mountain Road in the town of Roxbury at approximately 10:20 p.m. June 14.
An investigation on scene determined that a Toyota Tundra went off the roadway near 4030 Vega Mountain Road.
The vehicle hit several trees before going down the embankment.
The operator and only occupant was removed from the vehicle and transported to Margaretville Memorial Hospital but did not survive.
The operator is identified as David A. Oakley, age 34 of Oneida, N.Y.
