DUNDEE — An 18-year-old Dundee man was arrested Thursday on charges related to possession and dissemination of sexual images involving minors.
Marcus W. Chilson of 27 Harpending Avenue was charged with possession of a sexual performance by a child and disseminating indecent material to minors in the second degree, both felonies.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office began investigating inappropriate online communications in which Chilson allegedly harassed and coerced a juvenile from the Town of Benton to send sexually explicit photographs.
During the investigation, sheriff’s office investigators found images depicting sexual conduct of minors on an electronic device belonging to Chilson.
The images had been electronically transferred to others, including another minor, according to the sheriff’s office.
Chilson was arrested on a warrant issued by the Town of Starkey Court at 1:34 p.m. Thursday.
He was arraigned and released to answer the charges in Town of Starkey Court at a later date.
