ELLENVILLE Kimberly W. Kaiser, 36, of Ellenville, was arrested on Thursday by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Ellenville on charges of second-degree endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically challenged person, a class A misdemeanor.

The Justice Center received an anonymous information about possible abuse in May, which prompted the start of the inquiry.

According to the investigation, Kaiser hit a nonverbal challenged patient, age 43, while she was under her care at the Ulster County ARC.

On July 2 at 6 p.m., Kaiser was taken into custody, processed without incident at State Police Ellenville, and released on an appearance ticket to the Town of Rochester Court.
