Esperance man arrested on sexual abuse charges involving juvenile

ESPERANCE Louis Dinino, 28, of Esperance, was arrested by the New York State Police Livingston Bureau of Criminal Investigation on suspicion of first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

Dinino is charged with a class A misdemeanor of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and a class D felony of Sexual Abuse First.

After a thorough examination into claims concerning a minor under the age of 13, the arrest was made.

According to reports, the incident happened at Dinino’s girlfriend’s house in Columbia County’s Town of Kinderhook.

After the victim made disclosures, Child Protective Services called the Livingston BCI on April 11 to start the investigation.

Investigators found that Dinino had a sexual relationship with the minor victim that was illegal.

After being taken into custody on June 19, Dinino was charged in Greenport Town Court.

Instead of posting $10,000 cash bail, a $25,000 secured bond, or a $50,000 partially secured bond, he was remanded to Columbia County Jail.

He will next appear in court in Kinderhook Town Court on June 24 at 5:00 p.m.
