Forty Fort man arrested on drunken driving charges in Greenburgh

On June 22, Santiago Ramirez Canela, 46, of Forty Fort, Pennsylvania, was taken into custody by Greenburg State Police on charges of aggravated DWI, driving while drunk, endangering the welfare of a child, and vehicle and traffic infractions.

Around 11:22 p.m., patrol troopers stopped a 2022 Toyota Highlander that was heading north on I-87 in the town of Greenburgh for not staying in its lane.

The driver, named as Ramirez Canela, was interviewed by troopers who noted symptoms of impairment and gave him standardized field sobriety tests, which he failed.

Ramirez Canela was found to have two children in the car with him during the investigation.

After being taken to SP Tarrytown for processing, Ramirez Canela’s blood alcohol content was found to be 0.08%.

A ticket was issued for Ramirez Canela to appear in court on July 8.
