Fulton County sheriff reports 41 arrests in bi-weekly period

JOHNSTOWN — The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office handled 457 incidents and made 41 arrests during a bi-weekly period from May 23 to June 5.

The incidents included 145 traffic stops, 22 motor vehicle accidents, 15 disorderly conduct complaints and 15 domestic violence complaints, according to a sheriff’s office press release.

Other incidents included 10 animal complaints, 10 larcenies, 8 welfare checks, 7 trespass complaints, 5 frauds, 4 mental health complaints, 3 menacing complaints, 2 burglaries, 2 criminal mischief complaints and 1 missing person.

Among the arrests, Cameron M. Taylor, 22, of Johnstown, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle first degree, an E felony.

James M. Tessitore, 44, of Gloversville, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with .08% or more alcohol in blood, driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI with a child passenger less than 16 and endangering the welfare of a child.

Steven A. Stewart, 55, of Gloversville, was charged with strangulation in the second degree, a D felony, and assault in the third degree.

Dina M. Hansen, 37, of Gloversville, was charged with offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree, welfare fraud in the fourth degree and grand larceny in the fourth degree, all E felonies.

Bruce Hansen II, 35, of Gloversville, was charged with two counts of offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree, welfare fraud in the fourth degree and grand larceny in the fourth degree.

Logan R. Stapf, 19, of Johnstown, was charged with menacing in the second degree, reckless endangerment in the second degree, three counts of abandonment of an animal and three counts of torturing or injuring animals.

Multiple other arrests were made for charges including operating a motor vehicle while registration suspended, aggravated unlicensed operation and various misdemeanor offenses.
