SOUTHPORT — Jacob A. Smith, 40, of Hornell, was arrested June 11 for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a Class A misdemeanor, following a suspicious condition complaint.
Smith was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Southport Town Court at a later date.
James A. Piper, 43, of Elmira was arrested June 10 on an active Superior Court warrant for failure to appear on charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated, issued by the Chemung County Court on June 4.
Piper is being held at the Chemung County Jail pending arraignment by the Chemung County Court.
George J. Pyhtila Jr., 29, of Veteran was arrested June 10 on an active bench warrant for failure to appear on charges of petit larceny, issued by Southport Town Court on May 13.
Pyhtila was already being held at Chemung County Jail on unrelated charges and will be arraigned by Southport Town Court at a later date.
