ROME — A knife-wielding suspect robbed a Burger King restaurant Monday evening and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
The Rome Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the robbery report at approximately 8:30 p.m. at the restaurant located at 106 S. Madison Street.
Officers spoke with a store employee who reported that an unknown suspect entered the business, brandished a knife, and demanded money from the cash register.
The suspect fled the scene with cash from the register.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
