LANSING Anthony J. Morehouse, 46, of Ithaca, was taken into custody by New York State Police on June 24 on many offenses pertaining to pending arrest warrants.
Morehouse was charged by troopers with third-degree robbery, a class D felony.
In addition, he was accused of criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor, and criminal contempt in the first degree, a class E felony.
The accusations are related to a reported domestic argument at a bar on North Triphammer Road in Lansing on December 8, 2024, which prompted troopers to react.
According to police, Morehouse allegedly stole a victim’s cell phone, smokes, and air pods after the argument turned physical and stopped the victim from dialing 911.
By establishing physical contact with the victim, Morehouse also broke an order of protection, according to investigators.
On June 24, Morehouse was apprehended without incident after being found at a nearby Lansing motel.
In order to undergo centralized arraignment, he was taken to the Tompkins County Jail.
