GUILDERLAND After allegedly breaking into a house and assaulting the occupant before being restrained by a neighbor, a 22-year-old man from Albany was taken into custody on Monday.

Around 4:37 p.m., Guilderland police were called to a reported house invasion on Dutch Hill Terrace.

When officers arrived, they discovered that a neighbor was holding Romario R. Hall on the ground.

According to the police, Hall—who the victim did not know—illegally entered the house and assaulted the occupant when he was ordered to leave.

When the fight spilled outside, a neighbor saw the conflict and stepped in.

Hall had gone to the scene in a car that had been reported stolen from Albany, investigators concluded.

Hall was accused of third-degree criminal possession of stolen items, second-degree burglary, and first-degree burglary.

He was sent to Albany County Jail after being arraigned in Guilderland Town Court.
