Manchester An arrest has been made by the Manchester Police Department in relation to Jordan Patterson’s murder on May 20.
Officers responded to a complaint of a car idling on the side of the road with an unresponsive driver at around 3:56 a.m. on May 20 at the intersection of Irving Street and Woodland Street.
Officers found a man victim sitting in the driver’s seat upon arrival; he was later identified as Windsor Locks resident Jordan Patterson, 24.
Although life-saving procedures were started right away by officers and emergency medical staff, Patterson was declared dead at the site.
According to the results of an inquiry, Patterson had been shot once in the torso.
Zion Smith, a 16-year-old Manchester resident, was the subject of an extraditable arrest warrant after an investigation by Manchester police investigators.
After being found and arrested in Alabama, Smith was extradited to Connecticut.
Smith faces charges of unlawful firearm discharge, carrying a dangerous weapon, tampering with physical evidence, and murder.
Following the arrest warrant, Smith was processed and taken to Hartford Juvenile Detention.
Today, Smith will be arraigned.
