YONKERS: According to police, a 69-year-old man suffering from dementia who vanished after stealing a family member’s car has been located safely.
The Yonkers Police Department reported that Luis Sanchez was found Friday morning.
Since Sanchez was last seen stealing a family member’s car without permission in Yonkers, police had been looking for him.
Sanchez, who has short gray hair and stands 5 feet 11 inches tall, was last spotted sporting black sneakers, blue jeans, and a dark brown polo shirt.
The gray 2016 Toyota RAV4 he was driving had the New York license plate JCT7398.
Recently, the car was seen in Brooklyn.
The case had been under investigation by the Yonkers Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit.
