Montgomery Units from the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department were called to 387 Bailey Road at around 12:53 a.m. today in response to a reported structure fire.
When the homeowner arrived, they informed Chief Reynolds that the bathroom ceiling was on fire.
After the homeowner used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire, Engine 223 arrived and the crew promptly put it out.
The crew of Truck 221 looked for an extension.
The Orange County Fire Investigation Unit, Central Hudson, the Town of Montgomery building inspector, and Coldenham Truck 205 and Walden Tanker 239 all provided assistance to Montgomery on the scene.
Around two in the morning, the units were put back into service.
