HARTFORD, NEW Following an altercation at Hartford Mills Apartments, a guy from New York Mills is being charged with two felonies of criminal contempt.
Members of the Criminal Investigation and Patrol Division of the New Hartford Police Department detained Max Goracy on Thursday.
On Wednesday night, police patrol units were dispatched to help EMS with a medical incident at the Hartford Mills Apartments on New Hartford Street.
Officers found Goracy in violation of a court-ordered stay away order of protection regarding another family member who lived in the apartment when they were on the scene.
Goracy was forbidden from being at the residence by the injunction.
Police discovered more infractions of the same court order of protection after conducting additional investigation.
Goracy was taken to the New Hartford Police Department, where he was charged with two Class E felonies, including criminal contempt in the first degree.
Goracy was sent to the Oneida County Jail after being arraigned in New Hartford Town Court.
