New London police arrest 7 in warrant sweep

NEW LONDON — Seven people were arrested Monday during a warrant sweep conducted by the New London Police Department’s Warrant Unit at various locations throughout the city.

The arrests were made during field operations that targeted individuals with active warrants, police said.

Rebecca Dietz, 51, of 311 Jefferson Ave., was arrested on charges of third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Anthony Hobdy, 44, of 31 Riverview Ave., faces charges of second-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Reinaldo Johnson, 49, of 50 Mountain Ave., was charged with failure to register as a sexual violence offender.

Kenneth Leclaire, 28, of 1 Old Nod Road in Clinton, was arrested on five separate counts of second-degree failure to appear in court.

Landon Marino, 33, of 45 Roseleah Drive in Waterford, faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

Makayla Rodriguez, 21, of 71 Ridgeview Circle, was charged with risk of injury to a child and second-degree breach of peace.

John Sexton, 60, of 325 Huntington St., was arrested on three separate counts of second-degree failure to appear in court.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
