LOUISVILLE On June 23, a New York State Police officer saw a man from Watertown drinking alcohol while driving on State Highway 37 and arrested him for driving under the influence.
At at 4:52 p.m., the trooper saw 32-year-old John W. Gokey operating a gray 2005 Kia while intoxicated.
After conducting a traffic stop, troopers found Gokey to be the driver.
Troops observed the alcoholic beverage on the passenger side floorboards during the questioning.
Gokey failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests given by troopers.
After being taken into custody, he was processed at SP Massena.
Gokey gave a breath sample, which revealed a.08% blood alcohol content.
Gokey received traffic and vehicle fines and was accused of driving under the influence.
He must appear in Town of Louisville Court later in August after being released on an appearance ticket.
