North Branford driver dies in two-car crash on Foxon Road

Branford, North According to police, a two-car crash on Foxon Road on Tuesday morning claimed the life of one motorist and injured another.

At around 10:01 a.m., many 911 calls were received by the North Branford Communications Center regarding a car accident involving injuries in front of 999 Foxon Road.

When North Branford police and firefighters arrived, they found the scene of the two-car crash.

Personnel from the North Branford Fire Department promptly started life-saving procedures after one of the drivers suffered serious injuries.

After being taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, the man was declared deceased.

With what seem to be minor injuries, the second motorist was sent to Yale New Haven Hospital.

The event is presently being investigated by the South Central Regional Accident Investigation Unit, which is on the scene.

While the incident is being processed, Foxon Road between Twin Lakes Road and Cedar Lake Road will be closed for a long time.
