Owego man arrested on burglary, sexual abuse charges

OWEGO — A Pennsylvania man was arrested on multiple felony charges including burglary and sexual abuse, according to the Owego Police Department.

Drew R. Small, 39, of Langhorne, Pa., was charged with burglary in the second degree, burglary in the third degree, aggravated sexual abuse in the third degree and unlawful imprisonment.

Additional charges against Small are pending, police said.

Small was turned over to Tioga County Sheriff’s custody for arraignment at Tioga County Centralized Arraignment Court.

He was remanded to Tioga County Jail on $1 million cash bail or $1 million bail bond by Justice Shaffer.

Police also took a 33-year-old Owego woman into custody for a mental health hold after reports she was a danger to herself and others.

The woman was transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

The arrests were among 176 total calls for service during the week of June 9 through June 15.

Police reported five motor vehicle accidents and issued six traffic tickets during the same period.
