Painted Post police arrest woman after apartment damage incident

POST PAINTED Raychel M. Finnerty, age 32, of Painted Post, was taken into custody by New York State Police from SP Painted Post after a domestic-related altercation at a home on Redwood Circle in the town of Erwin on June 17 caused substantial property damage.

Troops were called to 40 Redwood Circle at around 8:20 a.m. after receiving a report of damage to an apartment at 13 Redwood Circle.

Finnerty had driven to the scene after a fight with a male acquaintance, the investigation concluded.

According to the authorities, following a fight, Finnerty went up to the flat, forced his way inside, and broke the front door.

There was a child present when the fight broke out.

After being apprehended without incident, Finnerty was sent to SP Painted Post for processing.

She was accused with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, criminal mischief in the second degree, burglary in the second degree, and criminal tampering in the third degree.

Finnerty was freed on her own recognizance after being arraigned in Steuben County CAP Court.
