POUGHKEEPSIE — The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force has arrested nine individuals on felony drug charges following a months-long undercover operation targeting street-level dealers across the county.

Operation Street Sweeper focused on dealers trafficking fentanyl and cocaine in the Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park and Beacon areas from June 3 through June 10.

The coordinated raids resulted in the seizure of fentanyl, cocaine, cash, digital scales and drug packaging materials.

District Attorney Anthony P. Parisi said the operation represents “focused, intelligence-driven enforcement” and sends a message that dealers will be held accountable.

All nine suspects were charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, a Class B felony.

The arrests included Donny Daniels, 56, arrested June 3 in Poughkeepsie.

Jasmine Green, 27; Ydde Gauthier, 53; Luke Grady, 41; Darius Wood, 50; and Rashard Haile, 21, were all arrested June 4 in Poughkeepsie.

Oliver Hassell, 34, was arrested June 5 in Poughkeepsie.

Darren Atkins, 63, was arrested June 9 in Beacon.

Victor Smith, 66, was arrested June 10 in Poughkeepsie.

Most defendants were released to probation supervision, while Atkins was released on his own recognizance and Smith was remanded to jail.

All defendants face additional charges related to the operation.

The task force was assisted by multiple local police departments, the New York State Police and the sheriff’s office.
