PROVIDENCE Four people were taken into custody by Rhode Island State Police during traffic stops on Thursday and Friday on a variety of crimes, including driving offenses and warrant violations.
Julio Rodriguez, 41, of Providence, was taken into custody by troopers at 9:38 a.m. Thursday on a Superior Court warrant for neglecting to show up for arraignment on a previous allegation of possession of a controlled substance from Providence Police.
During a Westminster Street traffic stop, the arrest took place.
Rodriguez was taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center after being processed at State Police headquarters.
During a traffic stop on Florence Street around 2:00 PM on Thursday, Warwick resident Johnny Rivera, 44, was taken into custody by troopers for operating a vehicle with a suspended license under extraordinary circumstances.
Rivera was sent to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center after being processed at State Police headquarters and arraigned by a justice of the peace.
Emilio Duverge, 23, of Providence, was taken into custody by troopers at 12:50 a.m. Friday on a Superior Court bench warrant for probation violation related to an initial accusation of acquiring goods from Newport Police under false pretenses.
A traffic stop on Union Avenue led to the arrest.
Duverge was taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center after being processed at State Police headquarters.
Lance Brown, 34, of Pawtucket, was taken into custody by troopers at 1:54 a.m. Friday for a second violation of driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of between.1 and.15 percent.
Brown’s blood alcohol content was.100 percent and.098 percent, according to his breathalyzer tests.
During a Huntington Avenue traffic check, the arrest took place.
After being processed at State Police headquarters, Brown was released to a responsible adult after being arraigned by a justice of the peace.
