RAYMOND — A 54-year-old woman was arrested early June 16 following a seven-hour standoff with police after allegedly threatening her live-in boyfriend with a firearm.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded to 6 Wogan Road at approximately 8:20 p.m. June 15 for a domestic disturbance involving a firearm.
A male victim told deputies he had been threatened with a firearm by his girlfriend, Erika Frank of Raymond.
The victim was able to exit the residence and alert authorities.
Deputies arrived and Frank refused to exit the home to be taken into custody.
Frank remained inside the residence and had access to multiple firearms, prompting a standoff.
Egypt Road in Raymond was closed for the duration of the incident.
The Cumberland County Regional Emergency Services Unit was activated and responded to the scene.
Several noise flash diversionary devices were deployed during the incident, causing loud bangs that could be heard in the area.
Frank was taken into custody by members of the ESU team at approximately 3:18 a.m.
The Windham Police Department and Raymond Fire Department assisted.
Frank faces charges of creating a police standoff, domestic violence criminal threatening and domestic violence terrorizing.
She is being held at the Cumberland County Jail with no bail.
