According to Chief Deck’s activity report, during the two-week period from June 19 to July 3, 26 arrests were reported by SALAMANCA Police.
Traffic infractions and felonies were among the charges associated with the arrests.
Mitchell Richardson, 24, of Salamanca, was taken into custody by police on June 19 for first-time DWI, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of more than.08, aggravated DWI with a BAC of more than.18, failure to keep right, unlicensed operator, failure to use designated lane, and false personation resulting from a traffic stop.
After being processed, Richardson was allowed to subsequently appear in Salamanca City Court.
A 13-year-old minor was also taken into custody by police on June 19 on two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, which were related to two other occurrences that occurred in the city.
Due to a prior complaint, Dusti Ginnery, 38, of Salamanca, was arrested by police on June 20 on an arrest warrant for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
On a bench warrant issued by Salamanca City Court, Crystal Witter, 39, of Portville, was taken into custody that same day. She was arraigned and taken to Cattaraugus County Jail without being granted bail.
Hilton Johnny John, 32, of Salamanca, was taken into custody by police on June 23 for speeding and driving a car with a suspended license.
Salamanca resident Elijah Ground, 33, was arrested that same day on charges of disorderly behavior, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was detained until his arraignment.
Salamanca resident Jackie Chamberlain, 57, was taken into custody on June 24 on charges of second-degree harassment.
Five people were arrested by police on June 25: Amber White, 37, of Salamanca, for speeding and third-degree AUO; a 16-year-old juvenile for third-degree assault; Marvin Shantler, 29, of Salamanca, for uninspected motor vehicle, unlicensed operator, and third-degree AUO; Lateef Ghani, 45, of West Valley, for second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use, and first-degree harassment; and Garrett McArthur, 22, of Holland, for several charges, including reckless endangerment in the second degree after a chase.
Adam Wakefield, 41, of Fort Collins, Colorado, was arrested on June 25 for AUO third degree, unlicensed operation, and lacking or having insufficient tail lamps.
On June 27, authorities arrested Andrew Button, 35, of Salamanca, on a petty larceny arrest warrant and Waymon Kennedy, 19, of Steamburg, for running a red light, failing to conduct an inspection, and AUO third degree.
On June 28, Jed Nickerson, 27, of Salamanca, was arrested for first-time DWI and several traffic infractions; Shylia Dunning, 37, of Dayton, was arrested for speeding and third-degree AUO; Brandon Futrell, 24, of Salamanca, was arrested for second-degree harassment; and Katharine Washy, 33, of Hamburg, was arrested for making an unsafe turn or failing to signal and third-degree AUO.
Salvador Casares, 46, of Allegany, was detained by police on June 29 on several charges, including first-degree DWI, second-degree assault, and aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate. Jerry Halstead, 75, of Salamanca, was also arrested on two counts of AUO third degree and hazardous backing.
Douglas Reed, 41, of Killbuck, was taken into custody on a trespassing arrest warrant on July 1.
William Wilder, 51, of Salamanca, was arrested on July 2 on an arrest warrant for felony aggravated family offense, aggravated criminal contempt, and third-degree assault, while Cheylene Cooper, 30, of Salamanca, was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree.
