On-air challenge
I have a couple Kennections games that are based on “Jeopardy!” host Ken Jennings’s recently released book, “The Complete Kennections.”
I’ll ask you five questions in each set, and each answer will have a common theme. Make an effort to respond to the questions. Next, let me know what the common denominator is.
PUZZLE #1
QUESTION #2
This week’s challenge
This is a challenging two-week creative assignment. Palindromes, which read the same way forward and backward, are well known to most people. For instance:
- Rise to vote, sir.
- Lid off a daffodil.
Writing a palindrome with the letter Q in it is the goal.
Sensibility, syntax naturalness, and general elegance will be evaluated for each entry.
Next week, I’ll play a problem on the air with the person who submits what I think is the best palindrome that contains the letter Q.
Please provide the solution to the challenge by Thursday, July 31 at 3 p.m. ET. A opportunity to play the on-air puzzle is awarded to listeners whose responses are chosen. Please provide your phone number so we can contact you.
