Syracuse man runs red light, kills motorcycle passenger

SALINA — A Syracuse woman died from injuries sustained in a May 30 vehicle collision after a pickup truck driver ran a red light and struck her motorcycle.

Rebecca Woodcock, 23, died June 14 at Upstate Hospital from injuries sustained in the crash.

State Police responded to the collision at Factory Avenue and Lemoyne Avenue at 2:59 p.m. May 30.

Rickey Belcamino, 67, of Syracuse, was driving a 2004 Dodge pickup truck south on Factory Avenue when he ran a red light at the intersection and struck a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling west on Lemoyne Avenue.

The motorcycle was operated by Michael Lembo, 35, of Syracuse.

Woodcock, a passenger on the motorcycle, was ejected and struck a stopped 2018 Dodge SUV operated by Gregory Pacicca, 71, of Solvay.

Woodcock was unconscious and transported by ambulance to Upstate Hospital.

No other injuries were reported.

Belcamino received a ticket for failure to obey a traffic control device.
