The best new albums out July 25

Published On:

Now that it’s Friday, it’s time to highlight brand-new albums that go beyond President Martin Van Buren’s contentious addition to the world’s language. In the most recent episode of New Music Friday with Joe Kendrick of the public radio station WNCW in Western North Carolina, we listened to over fifty new releases that were released today, July 25, and listed our top five picks.

Appalachia gave birth to two of today’s best records: Indigo De Souza’s victorious Precipice and Roots singer Tyler Childers’ blatantly angry Snap Hunter. We also talk about albums that you’ve undoubtedly heard of. Ryan Davis and Yoshika Colwell are two names you have most likely never heard of before, and Patty Griffin is back.

No matter where you get your podcasts, you can listen to New Music Friday starting at 3 a.m. ET by continuing to scroll down to see all of the week’s major releases.
