ULSTER — A Yonkers man was arrested June 2 after New York State Police found approximately 322 grams of cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 87.
Troopers from the Kingston barracks observed a 2010 Infiniti traveling northbound near Exit 19 at approximately 6 p.m. in violation of multiple vehicle and traffic laws.
The driver and sole occupant was identified as Peter A. Fabregas, 35, of Yonkers.
During the investigation, K9 Scotty conducted an exterior search and alerted to the presence of illegal substances inside the vehicle.
A subsequent interior search resulted in the discovery and seizure of the cocaine.
Fabregas was taken into custody without incident and transported to State Police Kingston for processing.
He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, a Class A-I felony; criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a Class B felony; criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a Class C felony; and multiple violations of vehicle and traffic laws.
Fabregas was transported to the Ulster County Jail Central Arraignment Part and was arraigned June 3 in the Town of Ulster Court.
He was remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail.
